Government Patient ambulance and a truck were involved in a horror crash on the N3, between Cedara and Hilton KZN

Midlands EMS Crews, including the Midlands EMS rescue division, were dispatched to the N3 between Cedara and Merrivale on the southbound lane.

Upon arrival, it was determined that the ambulance had sustained extensive damage due to the collision.

Several patients were found to be in critical condition, with one person trapped in the vehicle requiring urgent advanced life support treatment and being placed on a ventilator on the scene.

Tragically, two individuals sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene. All patients received on-site medical treatment before being transported to various hospitals for further care.

Authorities were present at the scene."
