Thathazonke, EMPD, SAPS Highway Patrol and Yizo Yizo recover a Legend50 that was being stripped apart

Today, members of Thathazonke received information from a reliable source, about a possible stolen or hijacked vehicle that the criminals were busy stripping in search of a tracking device. A team went out to investigate and the information was found to be correct.

The members requested backup, EMPD, SAPS Highway Patrol and Yizo Yizo gave backup and the property was approached, 5 suspects were found busy stripping the vehicle.

The vehicle was tested and it was discovered that it was not reported stolen. While busy on scene members noticed a suspicious bravo male entering the crime scene, the male was asked to identify himself and he said he was the driver of the Legend50 that was being stripped, asked what happened? Why was the vehicle being stripped? He gave over 10 different stories. The team conducted further investigation and using their cellphone phones, the suspects and the driver of the vehicle were successfully linked to each other.

It was established that the driver of the Legend50 willingly handed over the vehicle to the criminals knowing very well that the criminals were going to remove the tracker from the vehicle and strip it for spare parts as one of the suspects is in the business of selling "cheap parts". Ultimately the car would have been reported stolen after the suspects were done with whatever they were doing and a
fictitious insurance claim was going to be submitted.
